Each year, The York County Council on aging hosts a spectacular holiday benefit to raise funds

for our York and Chester County Meals on Wheels program.

Breathtaking trees, incredible silent auction and scrumptious heavy hors d'oeuvres ensure an

unforgettable evening that will help take over 100 area senior citizens in need

off the waiting list for the only hot meal they will eat all day.

Please join us for an entertaining and worthwhile evening.

Tickets are $50 in advance, and $60 at the door.

Sponsorships are also available, and help immensely in our fight to end senior hunger

in York and Chester Counties!

WHY BE A PART?

How often do we take the time to think about how fortunate we are to have our basic
needs met? For many of us, it is not until we meet someone who is less fortunate.
More than likely, you have already met them but were unaware of their suffering.
Such is the state of a large number of elderly who live in our community. You would
never know they live in silent desperation and loneliness; that they are hungry and
constantly afraid of being institutionalized because they can no longer live on their
own. The York County Council on Aging knows them well.

We are a private nonprofit organization dedicated to providing coordinated services,
reliable resources and quality choices for elderly individuals and their families. Our
primary goal is to help seniors in York and Chester counties remain living
independently in their own homes for as long as possible. Adequate nutrition is a
critical component of maintaining that independence. Our Home Delivered Meals
program provides that component. The meals we deliver are most often our client’s
only meal of the day. But it makes all the difference in their nutritional stability and
gives them the ability to live on their own.

York County Council on Aging currently serves meals to 560 homebound seniors in
York and Chester Counties. There are 110 individuals on a waiting list for food. The
need never decreases but the current level of funding is not guaranteed from year-to-
year. We never know for certain if we will receive enough funds to continue serving
the people who are now receiving meals, much less reduce the waiting list. You can
help us continue this invaluable service and reduce the number of seniors waiting to
receive meals by becoming a sponsor for our annual Toast to Tradition benefit.
The Toast To Tradition benefit will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. The
event features great food, festive music, a wonderful silent auction and the most
beautiful Christmas trees you will ever see. Toast To Tradition is a perfect beginning to
the holiday season and 100% of the proceeds help us in our fight to end senior hunger
in our community.

Please review the attached sponsorship information and take a moment to consider
supporting this worthwhile event at the highest level you can manage. You can also
help by donating goods and/or services for our silent auction.
